SunCal Sells Two Villages to Lennar at Summerwind Trails Master-Planned Community in Southern California

CALIMESA, CALIF., (Feb. 27, 2018) – SunCal, one of the largest real estate development companies in the U.S. that specializes in large-scale, mixed-use master-planned communities, has completed the sale of two villages within its Summerwind Trails community in Calimesa, Calif., to homebuilder Lennar. This marks the first lots sold to any builder within the master plan and will kick-off vertical development.

Summerwind Trails is located on the west side of Calimesa along Interstate 10 in the San Gorgonio Pass area of Riverside County. The acquisition consists of 246 lots with minimum sizes of 5,000 and 6,000 square feet.

Summerwind Trails is a master-planned community by SunCal that is approved for more than 3,800 single-family homes and encompasses nearly 2,600 acres. The community has been designed to highlight the area’s beautiful natural topography, with a focus on integrating more than 1,450 acres of natural open space with active, passive and linear parks. A multi-purpose trail system includes miles of interconnected recreational trails where residents can enjoy hiking and exercise trails along with paved paseos running throughout the landscape of the master plan.
